They meet up in their 30's and find that some things are uncannily alike, same occupation, same kind of marriage with the same type woman, same hobbies and same likes and dislikes.Yet they find there are also differences. George Dingeldein: You can find different numbers comparing heredity and environment. Heredity seems to predominate IQ and health, while personality seems more caused by environment.The however is just because the family is smart doesn't guarantee all the children will be. Further as intelligence runs in families so do these families place value on education, culture and a home environment that promotes intelligence.As Gee Bee aptly points out adopted twin studies show a high correlation! in IQ and personality. No doubt heredity gives you so much. Then it's the environment that allows one to developed their innate skills to the limit....Show more
