Andrew Sinatra: Some people confuse Genealogy with Genetics. I see a fair amount of questions here regarding race/ethnic groups, the shape or size of noses (and other body parts!), eye color, etc. I've even seen a few animal genetics questions in the Genealogy Category.Others tend to just pick a category willy-nilly. Questions that have nothing to do with category subjects pop up everywhere.A while back a few of us wrote to Yahoo asking them to expand the name of this category to "Genealogy/Family History" or something like that. Adding Family History might keep a few people from posting here. There was no response. Perhpaps the wording suggested was too long to fit into the category menu bar?I hope the continuos stream of these non-genealogy-related questions doesn't push people away from answering valid genealogy questions in this category. I am amazed at what I've learned from some of you w! ho answer questions here and I appreciate the time/effort you put into answering questions. Sibyl Siwik: I don't know. I find all sorts of questions in all sorts of categories where they don't belong. Sometimes I think people are just desperate for a response from anybody, and sometimes I think it is just careless thinking, and sometimes I think they don't don't know where to put their questions so they just plunk for anything. What do you think?
