Is Obama an indicator of an American Renaissance?

Emile Midgley: Yes..the black power bitterists are going out of business and it's good riddance to all of that negativity.

Iris Shawcroft: I believe so, he is making history. I am just thankful to be alive to see it unfold in America for a change.

Emilie Santmyer: we'll find out in the next year

Thomas Riner: Obama is a man!

Sol Allphin: i certainly hope so.

Hilton Paiva: no, i guess we will only be able to asses that at the end of his term.

Eleni Mccier: If you are comparing it to the days of Queen Elizabeth I, where Sir Walter Raleigh went off privateering (pirating) to enhance Her Majesty's coffers, perhaps.Or the dueling persecutions where people were forced under Henry VIII to become Protestant, then under Mary I to become Catholic, then under Elizabeth, Protestant again, then possibly. If you are speaking of the terrible disease and hygiene that existed in that day, possibly we will be able to make some comparisons. If you are sp! eaking of the way that Obama got in through corruption and pandering, then that certainly compares to how Anne Boleyn was given the unkindest cut of all. A larger agenda was at work, and she stood in the way.In America, a larger agenda is at work, and common decency stands in the way. No doubt the liberals will deal with it the way the politicians of the Renaissance dealt with Catherine Howard, Mary, Queen of Scots, and Lady Jane Grey.if you confuse the election of a socialist with the dawning of a new era of imagination and achievement, I would point out that I have not heard a single thought about Obama that was worth repeating. He is a puppet; a brilliant orator with nothing to say.May God bless him and us all....Show more

Burt Cheevers: No, many of his economic policies where adopted by FDR(which prolonged the great depression) and Carter. We will end up with several trillion more in debt and a destroyed economy within 4 years. That and the democrats have a! habit of resorting to slavery. I wouldn't be surprised if the! draft was reinstated. But I suppose it will be a huge windfall for radical female supremacist's. In that respect I can understand why your so happy. With democrats in control of the house and senate and the presidency spending on women's health and other matters will most likely be increased while spending on men's health will probably be removed from the budget entirely. If that is your idea of brighter day's I can't wait for it to rain a little....Show more

Clemmie Burkleo: I sure hope so...

Ismael Sixon: Nope. It's an indicator of American stupidity. I think Green Day had a song, American idiot? Seems appropriate about now.Brighter days ahead? The economy is tanking, there are 2 wars, roads, highways and bridges are falling apart, there are over 10 million illegal immigrants living in America, businesses are leaving in droves taking jobs with them, ......What the hell is bright about that? ...Show more
