It is the only manufacturer who has one in each price category. Plasma is still considered to have the best picture quality of all tvs in the market today. Christy Tirabassi: An led TV uses an led lighting system. This allows the TV to run cooler, be more energy efficient, and last longer than its conventionally lit counterpart. The leds also allow for a slimmer profiled housing, and allows the lighting to be changed more locally within the screen, giving better color production and truer blacks. The trade off is that because the leds are still fairly new, they tend to c! ost more than the regular LCD TVs.
